Map 4 is the valet mode map if you have the latest firmware.Hello everyone
I just installed a used jb4 today on my mk7.5
Got it with the bluetooth for s good price.
So for my understanding theres map 1 and map 2 for stock engines,
Map 3 is for meth and map 6 is for custom.
So maps 4 and 5 arent used?
For the price I paid I'm glad I threw this in. Makes it lil more fun.

Guys there are a few maps on the JB4 that we have kept silent up till now. Worth it for guys with aggressive settings to test them out first and put up some logs.
Map 3 is a map 2+ map with absolute values. Typically will boost 24psi with a taper to around 20.
Map 5 is a aggressive map to be used with E85 mix or race fuel on full bolt on cars.
Map 8 is the methanol map. The boost additive value is what gets added across the rpm range where 10=1psi, 40 is the starting recommended point for this and the boost will be added in proportion of meth flow. i.e no flow no boost add.
These maps are on all firmware later than 60/1/5
Map 4 parks the car for you. It's amazing.Valet mode? Quit the fancy restaurants and buy an RS car with the money.Hahahah
Yup, just like the install processI know this has been asked a million times...but what's the proper procedure for removing the JB4 again? Put the car in sleep mode before removing the plugs, right?

If you have a small flathead screwdriver, you can put it in the slot on the left side to lift the lever/lock inside. Think of this: when pressing the tab that you broke, it was lifting said lever. Now that tab is gone, you have to lift the lever from the other side.So what the hell are you supposed to do when you break a tab? Everyone has trouble with plug D but I've been fighting with plug C for like 15 mins, and just broke the little tab. It's still in there snug and I'm assuming no way for me to pull it out since that tab is part of the locking/unlocking mechanism.
Have a service done at the dealership tomorrow smh.
