Front will stick out with 8 et35.
Rear will either be flush or stick out a tiny bit.

I have 8 et45. Flush in front. et35 adds 10mm.Do you have them installed on your car? I'm hearing different things. Really like to see some pictures before I order them. Thanks
Thinking of ordering a set of 18X8 et35 for the TDI. Anyone with this setup? Pictures would be great. Thanks
From the first page, this should always be your go to for fitment as the guide works great:

Using an OEM 18" GTI/R wheel (18x7.5 ET49) as a starting point, an 18x8 ET35 would stick out 20mm more. In the front, that's the exact same amount as a flush kit gives. In the rear, it's the opposite, they will stick out MORE than the front. Typically flush kits are only 15mm in the rear and in my experience the rear wheels/hubs are 5-7mm further out than the front. That's been consistent with MK6 and MK7 Golfs.
At least with stock camber, the rear wheels can be cambered in more than the front because the front isn't adjustable, so you can "hide" a bit of poke if you run nearer to -1.8 to -2 degrees of camber in the rear. Still within spec, just, while the front will be ~-1.2 to -1.4 degrees even when lowered.
no it's 15 front 20 rear. the camber in the rear tucks the wheel inward, so you need more in the rear to get flush.
Wow you are right, I'll edit my post. I've been messing with camber and aftermarket wheels too much and got lost in the sauce, clearly.

In the rear they will be even with a 20mm spacer. Typically flush kits are only 20mm in the rear. In my experience the rear wheels can be spaced 5-7mm further out than the front. That's been consistent with MK6 and MK7 Golfs.

I'll hook you up with some pics of mine. I've got 18x8 ET35 OZ Ultraleggeras in bronze on my Night Blue GTI. I absolutely love it, because I've had issues with spacers.
Can you send me pics? I’m about to order this same exact set up for my NBM. Do you have 235s?I'll hook you up with some pics of mine. I've got 18x8 ET35 OZ Ultraleggeras in bronze on my Night Blue GTI. I absolutely love it, because I've had issues with spacers.
