2016+ Clubsport Modifications - Part Numbers

Thank you, TecklenburgVW, for the part numbers!!

I did ask the parts guy to order one front ClubsportS wheel bearing and hub as soon as it's available: I have a set of old ones from my 2015 Mk7 PP Gti to compare dimensions. If they match, then the two piece front rotor should fit right in with PP/R/S3 calipers...

Cool thing is, the parts guy is just as excited as I am and so is keeping an eye out for availability :)

Another fun thing to look into will be the additional lateral water radiator (though Forge are releasing an enlarged radiator to replace the main oem one).

Prices on the seats are confirmed to be very high, over 3K Euro :-( I'd trade my Gti in for a Clubsport, but it throws me in a higher C02/Tax bracket where I'd pay over 2K euro per annum: no way!!!

'neways, will post whatever I find, and keep looking here in the meantime to see what you guys find out :)

Anyone able to give the size and part numbers of the swar bars to see what VW decided to do differently to the GTi?

I would like confirmation if this RSB is used on the Clubsport? I am told it's a Euro-only PN. Brought it in from Germany.

5Q0 511 305 BA

The specs say it is 21.7mm x 3.6mm wall thickness. When I measured it measures at 22mm by 3.6mm - not sure if it measures slightly bigger because of the finish? ButI'll take it haha!

[FONT=&quot]Probably because of paint/powder coat.

Most Euro GTIs or at least most Euro GTI Performance should come
with that 5Q0 511 305 BA - 21.7 mm x 3.6 mm sway bar, while some
or all NA spec GTIs seem to have a 21 mm bar.

Btw, it's made by Mubea who also do the Mk.VII DG springs.

ps:
The Audi TT 8S (MQB) and some A3 8V come with a 24 mm x 3.8 mm
front sway bar. Part number 5Q0 411 303 R.

Thanks for the info!

I also have DG springs on standby!

Is that 24mm FSB on the Audis different than what a GTI PP would have?

21mm doesn't seem very thick, what is the standard GTi RSB?

thanks

21mm doesn't seem very thick, what is the standard GTi RSB?

This one I have is 22mm according to the calipers.. 21.7 according to VW.

Standard GTI I've seen both 19mm and 20mm IIRC.

Plus this 22mm bar is going on my 1.8T which currently is only 18mm I think.. so going from 18x2.5 to 21.7x3.6 is a significant uprate.

just checked the ETOS system, The GTi is 21.7mm x 3mm according VW.

ETOS does show a 21.7mm x 3.6mm bar, but it doesn't say if its the Clubsport, I guess the 3mm to 3.6mm is the thickness of the hollow bar, which is a significant thickness change?

Will measure mine tonight to confirm that ETOS is correct with the car.

Thanks, dude! True, that's the tube's wall thickness. Not that
of a significient difference though.
Most probably that slightly thicker wall thickness RSB is for DCC.
I do remember standard and DCC suspension come with different
rear sway bars and DCC having the marginally stiffer one.

car is 2014 GTi PP 3dr manual just measured: Front bar is 24mm, rear bar is 22mm (so lets say 21.7mm)

So only 2 mm difference between the front and rear.

Contacted VW and gave them the part number for the 21.7mmx3.6mm bar and they told me it doesn't show it for a clubsport, so still looking for what they fitted to the CS..

Just fitted the Clubsport DSG shifter - really like the extra red detail on the knob!
