Folding Mirrors in the Winter.

Can you stop the mirrors folding in on the Mk7 Highline model if it is very snowy or frosty.Can damage be done if they are frozen up.

I think there is an option in the menu to not auto fold, that said, I had a MK5 GTI for nearly 9 years and had the optional electric folding mirrors, never posed a problem in winter.

You can turn it off in car settings menu

Yes. I have over-ridden the auto-fold option in the settings.

I prefer to have the puddle lights illumnate the area round the car when I approach at night b
