RSRR vs. RE71R

The Rs-rr can be a rough tire for daily. Idk what class you are running but see if the RS-R is available. A much more forgiving yet grippy as FUCK tire. I use them for trackdays and non competition events. DD'ed them last year too.

I'd add the RE-71R's to the "not desirable for a DD tire" list. They stick really well on an autocross track, but are really loud and rough-riding for street use, even at 32psi.

I just ran Laguna Seca on RE71-R’s and they were awesome. Extremely predictable grip throughout the day. I run 245/35 on 19 x 8.5 rims. My only problem was the tire contacting the fender through the corkscrew.

I’m thinking of going down to 18x8.5 and using a shorter sidewall tire. Also thinking of trying, on the advice of a race shop, Toyo R888R for track only use.
