how easy/hard was the golf R brake swap on the mk7? did you get the ecs kit or piece it together?

and was it worth it in your opinion? big difference in day to day?

Dybz - it was relatively easy at the end of the day.

Get a set of speedbleeders
Triple square set required
Dust shields needed for front, rears do not easily swap out so I cut them off
The original R/Sport trim brakes do swap right on, brackets and all, the only thing is the rear brakes needed a different size banjo bolt which prompted me to just to the lines in the stainless steel upgrades for PP brakes
Went through a few quarts of brake fluid

Took me considerable hours but i wasn't in a hurry and enjoy taking my time on cool projects.

Is the banjo bolt size the same for the PP calipers as for the standard ones (for the front brakes) ? I'm doing an AUDI S3 caliper on a non-PP mk7 gti and i want to keep the stock brake lines.
