All,

Early this morning I had an unexpected opportunity to participate in a makeshift autox session. I don't have a set of track shoes (never really intended to autox this car) so I used my recently installed setup: 17x8 w/ Conti DWS in 225/45. -12 lbs per corner.

I have to say, either the DWS is a surprisingly capable tire or the Power Pack LSD works very well. Now, speeds weren't high, but traction out of deep cut turns was on point - you can definitely hear the differential and feel XDS working (I'm not sure it's ever really off).

The DCC was good, but not great. It's apparent that this suspension would be better suited for a real track. I can't see any disadvantages of installing the VWR springs, but I can imagine there would be more perceptible weight transfer on stock coils. I think this also may be attributed to my OE sway bars, but I am more inclined to assume it's caused by suspension travel.

I think the next step is to grab the Bilstein DCC plug and play when it's released.

No action shot, but here she is:

Happy weekend!
