Hey guys, just did a dsg fluid filter change everything went seamless, the only thing I forgot to do was shift through the gears stopping for about 3 seconds in between, I used the bottom fill gravity fill method.
My question is, is this a big deal, not shifting through the gears before I drained the excess fluid when car was up to temp? When I had everything finished I held the brake switching between the gears took it for a test drive and everything seems good......any thoughts?

If you used 4.6 to 4.7L of fluids, your fine. I assume you used the VW maintenance procedure method of putting in 5L and then got up to 200° F and then removed plug and let drain until went to trickle; you would get about .3L drain out. If you are really concerned; make sure car is level, drain fluid out, measure and make sure you have 4.6L. If not put back in the amount to get to 4.6L. I would add through the top where the filter goes in. https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32503
