LF Suggestions for Scenic Road Rally Route

I planned a nice 3 day road rally weekend with friends last summer. We ran a route from Albany to Stowe VT up route 100 and then did two more loops the next two days. Ran from Stowe to Burlington then up north to come through the Jefferson/Stowe mountain pass. Then did the Lincoln pass and back down rte7 to Albany.

This included destination stops each day for us and our wives to enjoy some dining, boating, sight seeing etc.

This year I was thinking of planning a similar weekend but am having a hard time finding a route and destination that is both scenic, fun to drive, not too congested and has activities that will keep everyone happy.

We would leave from Albany, NY. So far potential destinations are:

• Portsmouth, NH/ maybe on into coastal Maine
• Lake Placid, NY - but no idea where to go once we get there

Does anyone have a route in the New England/ Upstate NY area that might be worth looking into for a weekend road rally? Not sure if anyone on here has done something like this in this area, but thought it would be worth asking. Thanks!!

Anywhere on the coast of NH or Maine is awesome
