Auto Hold not available (2018 150bhp tdi)
Had this message this morning along with a yellow warning triangle. The Auto Hold wasn't working but the electronic handbrake switched on manually OK. Turned the ignition off and back on but message and fault still there. Drove around a bit, turned ignition off/on and auto hold worked OK with no warning. Went to dealer who, of course, said we can't do anything unless the fault is showing.
I'd be grateful for comments

I've now been to two dealers. Both said that there's no point in checking the car unless the auto hold stops working and/or the warning message is present. Any 'old' scan details will only indicate that there was a problem with no information about its cause. So I will just have to wait for the problem to recur (or not!)

Until they've checked the codes they don't know that this is the case. Get a code reader and check yourself.

I'd use OBDeleven or Vag-Com/VCDS if I were you.
