Here’s a log on Map 2: 92 octane and about 55 degrees out. FOL is set to 50. Stock powertrain besides JB4 and torque limiter removal via OBDeleven.

https://datazap.me/u/dood/log-1539472825?log=0&data=1-4-11-14-18-25-26-27-28

Not a great log at all with trims getting high and timing corrections. I switched to Map 1 after this log and it felt much smoother and possibly faster. Unfortunately I didn’t get a log on Map 1.

I’m curious if I should bump up FOL but I’m also surprised I would need to since this was just on pump gas.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Very odd. Has the firmware been updated since you bought it from me? Does it do this high trims and high timing advance way too early in the rpm often?

Looking to stack JB4 with Unitronic Stage 2. I assume I should start with map 4 and get some logs of the baseline tune? I'm running E25 (91 octane + 2.5 gallons of E85).

If everything is clean, how much additional boost should I start with? I feel like it needs it down low more than up top.

Thx

Nah. You're only down there once.

What is the "overboost" function aka AutoShiftRed?

@bubbadubba: Is it a A3 with 2.0 t 220 hp or is it the S3 with 300 hp? Your ECU PSI especially the boost spike from 4000-5000 rpm is crazy.

It reduces boost at 3rd-4th, 4th-5th, and 5th-6th shift points to help prevent over boost with automatic transmissions. Someone more knowledgeable may be able to provide more detail.

I have the 220hp, is20 turbo. CHHA, how do you mean crazy? I thought 22-23 psi was well within the range of the is20. I don't think it stays there very long.

Right now it’s running 60/5//5 so I’m not sure it has been updated. I have newer firmware downloaded just need to flash the JB4. This is the first time I’ve seen the timing advance so early and the trims get high. Previously when I lived in SoCal I ran ~E25-E30 (91 mix) and FOL 60 and my all my logs were solid, see the example below:

https://datazap.me/u/dood/6-16-18map1e25t70?log=0&data=1-4-11-14-18-25-26-27-28

I wonder if the lower ambient temps are a factor. I know lower IAT means more timing. Ultimately before I romp on it more I’m going to update the firmware and get another log but on Map 1 this time.

I never saw a log from a is20 which ECU requests 18.5 psi at around 4500 rpm.

For example my ECU requests at nearly equal IAT's about 13-14 psi.

I see mine making 18.5 psi (and a little above) at 3-3500 rpm. It is not unusual to have this amount of boost in the rpm range of 3000-3500 but at much higher IAT / ampiant temps... Seems like Audi has a different software?
