I haven't seen one actually do a 1.99 in real world conditions. In my brief YouTube research obviously.

You're not an idiot. A Pro Stock car in the NHRA will be in the mid 6 second range with around 1000 HP in the 1/4 mile.

There is no other production car even close at the moment. Yes, there are tube framed highly technical drag cars that can only drive straight a 1/4 mile at a time that are faster.

Agreed. Modified muscle cars (Challenger, Camaro, mustang) push into the mid 8's with more like 1200-1400hp, but they weight 1,000lbs less.
