WTB- R SPRINGS. to fit M7

I run R springs on my GTI with Koni Yellow's and am very happy. But what I didn't know at the time is that there are different springs between Rs with 6MT and DSG. DSGs are heavier transmissions so they have a slightly higher spring rate upfront (this is the consensus at least), and so the front end of my GTI sits higher than if I had gotten 6MT R springs. Long story short, try to get springs from a manual R.

I guess there is no right or wrong choice, it's just what you want. There will most likely be no perceptible difference in the ride quality or handling characteristics. It's an aesthetic decision. And the manual springs will just make the car's front end sit ever so slightly more level. We are talking ~2-3mm at the most. See this post for pics of my car.

I meant MK7, not M7

black Friday sales should free up a set, as people upgrade to coilovers
And have OEM springs sitting around collecting dust. Im just sayin
