Wing mirror glass replacement

Hi I had the same thing happen on Friday. Mine is the passenger side one. I've tried halfords and vw but no one has any stock as apparently lots of people with the mk7 have had the same problem. Anyone know where I can get replacement mirror glass from please?

Just bumping up this thread as my drivers door mirror fell off this (Sunday) morning.

Am I better getting a whole wing mirror replacement to include the backing plate or just the glass itself?

The Wing Mirror Company sells just the glass and I was just concerned how the heating part would perform, post install.
