Wait till the suspension starts to creak, you will have another excuse for thinking they are imperfect...

...if it creaks, it's probably made by VAG

Got no Noises at all around doors (or suspension) on a my 3year old car. Have you got wind deflectors as they cause terrible wind noise and the reason I will not be getting any on the Mk7.

I'd check the rubber/felt seals around the door windows to make sure they're not deformed and are making good contact with the A, B and C pillars and roof. Also, check that your doors are correctly aligned; misalignment could cause small gaps between the window rubber/felt seals and the pillars/roof and result in wind noise.

I've got 39,000 on mine with no wind or suspension noise...and it's on VMR springs
Yes I don't notice much wind noise, but your suspension is probably too stiff to let the suspension move far enough to creak..

It's not very stiff at all, VWR is very close to stock ride. My nitpicking wife didn't even notice it was lowered.

Suspension noise is a product of improper installation or worn mounts. Ive owned 16 Volkswagens over the last 11 years, some of them on stiff coilovers, some on mild lowering springs, some stock. Never had any creaking issues that weren't due to worn parts which I replaced thus resolving the issue

I will also add correctly torqued suspension bolts.
If not installed correctly it will ruin it all.
If you install or someone else do your homework and learn what proper torque settings are for bolts. Then question the installer to make sure they know.
Can not stress how important this is.

Not only properly torqued, but also NEW hardware. People who reused stretch bolts are just asking for trouble

The Golf has the "loose lumber" rear suspension noise since new, so no wear or installation issues. VW only change the shocks which is an improvement but not a 100% cure. In my book it is a design problem with the multilink suspension, not the torsion-beam type, it has been known by VW since 2013 but they choose not to fix it.

Tell that to VW. Every single Golf shipped to the UK seems to creak, new replacement joints creak, and yet.. in the exact same road circumstances 21 year old Corrado joints .. don't. VW will not acknowledge that they have a problem, be it in design or assembly, so there you go. I agree that they didn't used to have a problem, but now they do.

And yes, they also have a recurring loose lumber suspension design issue with the rear shocks.

Idk I cant relate. I've owned everything from Mk1 to mk7 and haven't had any issues you've mentioned. This includes a mk6 gti, mk6 Jetta tdi, and a mk6 Golf tdi. So of my four most current cars two were assembled in Germany and two in Mexico. So that rules out it being a UK thing (I'd assume your cars are German built).

There isn't a whole lot to go wrong with the rear shocks. They've used the same mount design for 30+ years. I've installed suspension on dozens of Volkswagens of all generations...the rear mount is one nut holding the shock shaft in the rubber mount & three bolts secure the mount to the car. One through bolt on the eyelet at the bottom of the shock, then of course the spring is seated in a rubber pad top and bottom

Although we are way off topic here..

No, it's the new independent rear suspension, this didn't come in until quite recently. As you know there's no McPherson strut any more at the back the shock sits outside the spring and the top of it is directly connected to the bodywork. I think they fundamentally didn't realise they needed to sound isolate that joint in case the shock starts to make a noise.

As for the front creak.. you have to apply fore- or aft- force to the front wheels whilst extending the front suspension. I can do it on the speed ramp outside the local dealer in any of their demo cars (literally any), but they took six visits and nine months before they could reproduce it...

Back on topic. A quick Google search suggests the most likely cause of the wind noise is a faulty door seal.

To the OP; if this is the cause and your car is still under warranty, it should be replaced free of charge.
