Why can't I get rid of this car?

What didn't you like about the G80?
And how was it compared to the MK8 R?
Those are 2 of my 3 or 4 possible replacements in the future

Guilty of having two car seats in my GTI with no issues. Acura does have nice transmissions. I drove a NSX once and that car remains a bucket list car for me.
We have a convertible seat and a doona. The convertible one in rear facing just couldn't fit behind me as a 6'0" driver. In forward facing mode, my son's legs are pretty tight. The doona carseat can fit behind me, but it's bumping up enough to bend some plastic and press into the leather. There's literally no way the doona could fit with the latch base. It only works in seat belt mode. In the acura I was able to use the latch base, which is super convenient.

With any of them behind the passenger seat, I can't ride shotgun without having my legs crossed and knees high up. In a accident I'd probably get pretty hurt. If my wife and I were both 4" shorter, it would probably work just fine.

The g80 talks the talk and walks the walk. It's an amazing car! Keep in mind I have zero interest in the xdrive version because I prefer 2wd drama over awd dynamics so I only drove the rwd model.

The shifter feel in it was fine, but I found myself hunting for 5th when I really shouldn't be. The positioning and height of the lever in relation to the cupholders is dumb. Any slightly larger cup leads to knocking against it on the 1, 3, and 5 shifts. For me (I hook around to shift from 5th to 6th), I kept hitting a 22oz insulated yeti mug I had at the worst times. Seems minor, but for a DD it's kind of a pita. The clutch in it was obnoxious. Not sure if it was just the one I drove, but it was heavy and lacked feel at the same time. The cdv made the grab point a bit funky, but I bet that would improve after a few thousand miles of wear.

Still not a fan of the front end. It's ugly and doesn't get more attractive as you look at it.

The mk8 r was pretty numb in comparison. It's like comparing an suv to a sports car. They're not even in the same league. The g80 costs a lot more and you can FEEL where that money went. Plus the noise it makes is pure hotness.

I'll also mention the touch controls... As a person who regularly fiddles with the AC, volume, and stuff I found it frustrating. I think we're all aware of that as a primary "characteristic flaw" though...

My mechanic (Porsche guy who crew chiefs for an imsa team) was also strongly suggesting I shouldn't get the bimmer due to the issues that crop up with them that cost thousands to resolve each time. His words, "if you're going to get an m3 get an e46".

huh didn't realize they're rare. I've seen a few around Boston area, about as common as CRTs
Vegas is the same… recently there is ones that parks right next to me at my work offices too and I didn’t even notice it was a type S for a few weeks lol but is that gray/silver one. Also though to be fair Vegas also has LOTs of civic type Rs around also.

Where did you buy it? Local? Did you have to pay over MSRP?
Got it from Jay Wolfe in OP. They have a red one on Stateline too. Got it for 1k under msrp, which was pretty good considering a lot of dealers are asking 5-10k over. Big thing was getting a lot of the carbon bits, Alcantara wheel, and other accessories at a steeper discount to counter the lack of msrp discounts these days.

The yellow is hot. Can you get it with the copper wheels? That's the spec I'd want.
Copper wheels are a "dealer add on" and you can get them for about 367$ a wheel if you go through online parts ordering. Pretty reasonable for an oe wheel actually. Identical to the grey wheels in spec.

Totally get needing the space. Main reason why my Tacoma got traded for the Atlas, needed the space for the dogs. Now they can ride in the back in their own little area with the 3rd row folded down, and still have room for 3 adults in the back seat.

Definitely!

One of the major downsides to the integra is that it's a liftback type hatchback, so my German Shepherd can't fit like she did in the gti :(. She'll just ride in the Q7 when I take her places, but she definitely liked the easy in/out of the gti hatch. She rode back there for 10hrs to Custer state park and back with zero complaints.
