What to do to my golf 1.8T

Ok I just recently purchased a 2017 golf 1.8T with the manual transmission and was looking to customize it. Was wondering what are some good mods to go with and what should I stay away from.

Depends what your end goal is. Do you want performance, looks, sound?

First thing i did was a ceramic tint (because Texas), tune, then wheels and tires, then suspension. Then it snowballed from there.

But my priority is performance, then very little of looks (I'm good with just nicer wheels) & didn't care about sound i.e. prefer a quiet car.

That being said, before all that, is take care of suction pump recall if you have it. You can check your vin. Also start saving up for water pump for when it starts leaking.

Keep an eye out for a good deal on a nice set of used GTI seats, they're a mod you can enjoy every time you get in the car.

Stay away from any mods until you've driven the car for awhile. Mods that I may want may not be suitable for you. MonkeyMD lives in TX and a priority for him was tint - it may not ne for you because you might not need it or the authorities in your are have strict laws.

Once you've driven your car for some time, you might say "I'd like to tighten up handling" or "I'd like better seats" or "I need more power" - or you might just say "I like the car as is"

Just don't make any mods just to make mods or because somebody else did it.
