What is the obsession with plugs to fix KR in the MK7 world?

I get that the plugs need to be replaced more regularly on tuned MK7s but why do folks always think timing corrections/KR/"knock" is always plug/plug gap related? To me, plugs can be the source of misfires and KR is almost always fuel-quality related.

Oh I stopped trying to talk sense to people a long time ago. Glad you made this thread though.

If fuel quality is not the fix, then what is the next step to resolve large amounts of KR?

No idea - tune related I suppose? My question is...what about a properly functioning spark plug that isn't damaged is causing detonation? I can't believe these things are so sensitive that thousandths of inch gap changes are to blame.

People need to buy NGK spark plugs which are $50 a piece, and pair them with the proper $130 dollar ground wires in order to not have KR.
But wait....THERE'S MORE!
