first log it was low on gas, above a 1/4 not into the red yet, but i dont like doing pulls with it being that low. it acted kinda funny in the higher rpm so i took a spin out to get some gas, i put 2 gallons of e85 and 5 gallons of 91 there was already e36 in the tank. 2 gallons of e85 and 5 gallons of 91 makes it e40, plus the e36 that was in the tank. the blue tooth analayzer was reading e32.

36 percent plus 40 percent =32 percent?

the car didnt really hiccup or anything except for the first 2 pulls, which is why i went to get gas, < i was told there was an issue with this gas station by the other gas station lady in the past but never had an issue, (thought she was full of shit) anyways. i have been getting gas at the same 2 places off and on for since may of 21, and never seen numbers like this. ..i check my logs pretty often and do have a knock monitor on the accessport, not of each cyl. but of the overall average, whats strange is. it didnt register any of these events in the monitor.

any insight would be great.

i see the knock values all over the place. and some really high instances.

one thing i noticed was the HPFP effective vol % is all over the place, and seems like when it dips, the knock rises.

this car never has values like this. or atleast didnt. in any log i have taken.

also, the rail pressure request and actual, look like its meeting their mark. i thought if the hpfp was taking a shit, rail pressure would indicate so, but what is the dips in that HPFP vol %. is that the LPFP giving up, not flowing enough volume,?

this car has always been kept at e35. and never given an issue in the 18k its been tuned.

thanks again. for any help.

Winter blend gas? I know some people have a "regular E85" tune and a "Winter 91 octane" tune.

You ran out of fuel on the first.

The rest are an aggressive tune+bad gas (or winter blends).
What's with the hpfp vol% is that something to watch. What is that indicating when it fluctuates

Where exactly? I don't see any oddness in any of the logs.
in some instances, the vol % drops to 24, and it seems to correlate with the knock events, look at log 4 and 5.

i will get some more ethanol, maybe even drain this tank and do some more logs. thank you for looking at those. i do hope it was just a case of a hot tune and bad ethanol/gasoline.

car was running just fine as you saw the previous night.

Definitely agree on the winter fuel front. Just because you are at e32, doesn't mean your effective octane rating is always the same. I switch to 93 in the winter and have to blend up to e20 to run anything over 31psi and 4deg of timing. I usually just back off the tune and lower boost and timing to pump friendly levels. But keep a couple of gallons of ethanol at home for when I want to run a slightly spicier boost/timing curve for a tank.

I would definitely stay out of full sauce until you burn through that tank. Be careful mixing in too much more ethanol. You still run the risk of running out of fuel delivery capacity due to the extra flow rate requirements of the higher ethanol content. Kind of chicken or the egg situation.

Looks like just winter fuel quality is all - except for the first, KR doens't look egregious and you can clearly see overall timing advance drop off when you get the KR which is "timing pull" and normal if the ECU isn't getting things like it likes w/r to KR and fuel quality.

first log->that STFT was the basket going empty im guessing, it was a bit low on gas, but like i said. not into the red. but it likes alot of fuel or the LPFP cant keep up. it was a mix of some older e85 that was in the tank. and the bottom of the tank. i hope thing are alright, and ill report back with some fresh known good fuel. from another station.

appreciate the help .

Rule of thumb, never do any WOT pulls on a 1/4 of a tank or less. I always fill up when I am 1 - 2 hash marks above a 1/4 of a tank.
