40K might be up by the end of the year, but wondering what you guys do.

2015 gti 6 speed

I'll probably do a brake flush with oil change. Other than that cant think of anything else.

I dance since it hasn't blown up.

I also go by this schedule:
https://www.shopdap.com/blog/post/service-schedule-for-mk7-gti-2015-2016.html

I would do the brake flush like you suggested and also spark plugs.

I think DAP’s chart is a great resource. I changed my cabin air filter at 20k since it was pretty grubby, and 40k is a long time on a CAF.

Plugs
Oil & filter
Brakes bled (I do mine annually)
CAF
Inspect engine air filter, brakes, look for leaks, mice, etc.

Follow the DAP chart, keep your own document to record what you do. Thats what I do, just did my 20k service even tho i did some of it somewhat prematurely. Cabin filter I should hve waited but thrown it in I dont drive a ton like 8k a year. Either way its perfect resource to use

Service the transmission. VW says “lifetime” which really means 60k, which really just means they know it won’t fail during warranty.

Even at 40k it’s burnt and you’ll notice an improvement with a fresh fill.

Official VW service manual does actually recommend 40k flushes on both the DSG and slush.

GTI, with or without performance pack, does not have a Haldex unit. Thats on an R
