As to EQT's overhead, marketing, specific individual's salaries, etc... those are costs the company has. Whether you want to pay for them or not doesn't mean that cost no longer exists.

I was never denying they have overhead. Someone else said EQT should sell wires at $130 dollars because EQT needs to pay more bills. I think EQT sells wires at $130 cuz market is/was small and they wanted to make a shit load of money. They hyped the product and basically set the market price on these for a while. A business is doing something very wrong if they need to jack up the cost of a product like crazy because they have too much overhead.

@StorableComa would you be interested in making a pigtail harness for the fender sub. Would like to swap between factory sub and an aftermarket sub for some testing . I dont like cutting factory wires.

Some center console parts... (One of the) Passats has a neat illuminated cupholder, handle illuminates when closed as well. On the Passat this is single color lighting but mine will be RGB.

Not my idea or research, credit here...

And some miscellaneous things. Replacement for the 12 volt plug, and illuminated ring (nice retrofit for later Mk7s where the ring illumination fell victim to cost cutting) that I broke. And the sunlight sensor for my half climatronic retrofit...

The to do list is getting shorter on this. Gonna button up a few maintenance items tomorrow…nvm as I type this there’s still a lot left haha, but it’s getting there!

Next up on the list is a ‘22 BRZ axle back, some R32 GTR & drift trike stuff. If you’ve got wild idea winter time is the time to ask. When tax season comes around I’ll be back to being swamped with production parts.

This is for @El_bigote_AJ, because electronic parking brake retrofit and the needed replacement center console are the gift that keep on giving 😑.

Replacement plastic duct that provides air to the kiddos in the back seat. The one in your car snakes to the right to avoid the handbrake and sort of sits between handle and cup holders. It does not fit under the center console for EPB. Naturally, I discovered this when I went to put the new center console in... which means I didn't have the part available... which means I'll be removing the center console again to install it 😵‍💫.

Now since you're going to be in there anyway, it would be foolish not to install the rear vents with USB ports, A and C. The conditioned air you provided to the rear passengers by picking up the correct duct will not be enough to keep them happy if their phone dies. And plus, the lid of the center console storage cubby is different between manual and electronic parking brake. So the rear vents you have now need to be replaced anyway 😬.

Generation 2 external soundaktor module. I have a Gen 2.5 module but I'm having issues getting it to play sound while driving, although it has no faults and the sound output test works. A few theories about why it's not working but none I can "prove" with any data yet. One possibility is that pedal pressure data is not available on the CAN bus of my car, and that's one of the parameters added for the generation 2.5 modules. But who knows?

This module will be flashed with firmware from a 2.0 TDi (instead of 3.0 BiTDi firmware on the Gen 2.5 module) so I guess it's more appropriate anyway 😬.

What all is needed for the 12v replacement? I tried doing this in my 7.5 last year but found my connector was missing some bits to make it work. Gave up but would be keen to take another swing at it.

You need the third pin, to power the LED. I would tap it off of the plug of one of the shifter surround buttons. I don't know if you have buttons on the left and/or right side of the shifter but it's going to be pin 2 on either of those connectors (these are 10 pin connectors, gray wire on pin 2).

When I get a chance I'll try to find the pin/repair wire you need for that third pin on the 12v socket connector.
