I suspect my 2014 built Mk7 won't need the spacers... but better to be prepared when it comes time to install the CW shfiter.

Well that was an easy buy, thanks for the link! Had their site saved from your suggestion before, planning to get their shift boot "delete" too.

I guess I need to print the template and use that once I install the shifter. I may ask them if it can be cut from acrylic as well, got a plan.

It will be lit (literally, and in the young folks' vernacular), and with an OEM RGB led, with OEM control....

This last picture has a feature enabled for which there's only a placeholder graphic on the Golf, gear shift. Chillout's MIB tool box will allow me to replace that placeholder with an actual graphic. I one day want to illuminate the CoolerWorx gear shift mechanism. If I get around to that I might play around with editing this placeholder graphic.
