I agree, I don't want tons of cash to blow on detailing tools. Part of the reason I picked it up was because of the results @GoatAutomotive had in this thread.

My little paint booth came in and I think its a little too small to actually walk around in with the zipper flap closed, not sure but will find out soon enough. It looks like it was designed as more of a backdrop to keep paint spray from getting on places where you dont want paint. It looked bigger in pictures. Also, my new front bumper came in, it was folded of course, so it spent the weekend in the sun and it looks like it's ready for paint. It has slight crease marks underneath each fog light area, but maybe once all the black trim pieces are in it wont be noticeable.

I opened a second detail and paint correction center in Cedar Park (25-min west of my current shop) and all my detail products are currently hostage over there.

We really want a second DA and 5” pad conversion.

FYI, if I didn’t mention it previously, INVEST in the 5” backing plate and pad conversion.

Not available at HF, but it works on that DA.

Game changer for smoothness and vibration reduction, plus way more accessibility on the car’s panels.

You can literally one-hand the DA on the larger, flatter panels due to how much smoother it is.

Think of having a smaller diameter clutch and FW on a performance car. Same concept. Improves the MOI substantially.

Results from the 2012 Audi A4 Avant we restored. Heavily damaged paint, felt like 100 grit sandpaper when it first began.

My junior detailer was trained almost entirely on this car (using the new DA and correcting techniques): she did 80% of the work on this restoration.

She likes detailing because it’s physical and rewarding. I tell her she’s a masochist and a godsend, all at once. ? ?

Ordered a Liqui Molly oil travel case with my last FCP order, now I can carry a litter of oil in style. Not bad for $4 lol

More fresh components for the suspension: moog endlinks, mk8r lca's, and another set and a half of hardware. And a grease gun lol. After this I think I'm doing brakes.
