Looking forward to the strut bar review; body creaking over uneven roads is one of my remaining aural annoyances with the car.

Haven’t forgotten about your review; installed tonight and will drive the car sometime this weekend.

@bobloblawGTI aight so here’s my initial response. I drove To the store (took a longer route that has some more fun turns to push a little bit to see where i can Sense the change).. car feels normal with basic driving but in the corners is where the magic really happens.. the car wants to hug the inside of the road on even with the slightest turn of the wheel; almost like it’s pulling towards the corner. the front “roll” of the car seems to have disappeared.. again this was the first drive. I’ll keep pushing it but it really wants me to get the rear sway bar in asap.. the front feels stuck to the ground which is nice… i had Some noises with my suspension a few weeks ago but since the car was in the air for a week and a half with the oil pan fiasco, my noises seemed to have disappeared momentarily; I’m sure they will come back.

Set up suspension wise is now Eurosport Strut Tower Bar; EMD lowering springs, stock shocks/struts with Pirelli PZero Nero plus tires (225/40/18).. so rear sway bar will be coming for sure and then probably Bilstein B8s or whatever. Not there yet.. lol 🤙🏼

For a street car, I’m finally getting to the point where the car is where i want it for sure. Just enough, not to little, not to much.

New 3/8 and 1/4 72T ratchet from Ko-ken USA. Took 5 months to get, was on sale. Feels sturdy. Convincing quality I guess.

New sachs performance flywheel & clutch came in today as well with the stock RMS. I bought this same clutch in March 2021. RMS needs to get replaced since the iAbed one has been leaking. Had to drop the trans twice due to install error. Installed at two different shops. Dropping trans a third time & stick with an OEM RMS to finally fix the leak and replace the clutch. Regarding the clutch. I ran this one on stage 1 and stage 2 with it. Clutch holds great for the power I have way below 410TQ. However after 2.5 years on the clutch with some launches, WOT, & accidentally burning the clutch at times by accident, clutch started slipping. This time during break in instead of giving the beans at 800miles. I’ma go for 1500+ miles, prob overkill but F it. 2nd time purchasing this clutch through FCP. Got it covered under warranty. Getting my money back since I purchased the first clutch kit before the warranty policy changed last year in 2022. She’s going in on Monday with the BFI stage 1 trans mount (not pictured).

Good call on going with that RMS.

People used to give me shit for going with the revised RMS on golfmk6 when there were "way better" aftermarket options like the Iabed but I only ever saw people having problems with them online. DAP stopped selling them at once point because they kept failing and/or people were fucking up the install lol.

Yeah. My mechanic refused to use anything but OEM for RMS.
