I don't get the DSG hate on this forum I love it. I miss having stick a lot of times, but for a daily driver I prefer the auto. Especially with all the stupid stop+go I deal with on my commute

It's technically closer to a manual transmission than an automatic, so it's not an automatic. It's more of an automated manual transmission...

Hahaha. It's certainly better and more visceral than a "normal" automatic, and I do enjoy that. I had a *dad car* for ~2 years after selling my Subaru, and the DSG certainly feels better than the standard slushbox.. even the 8speed tiptronic in Wifey's Jetta.

I like it that's all that matters. And my DIGITAL DASH!!!

It's an automatic and I f*ing love it, and that's coming from someone who has had a manual in nearly every car since I turned 16.

Sit at a stop and take your foot off the brake really fast and push the go pedal really fast like you could on an automatic and then tell me you can drive it like an automatic. People who drive DSGs like they would an automatic make me ill.

4 cars with manual, all driven in traffic…. I’m good and enjoy DSG much better more now
