Harness for fog light retrofit; OEM operation, via the BCM and not with an external relay. This is the last thing I was waiting for before pulling the bumper. Retrofitting front fogs and front radar, part of ACC retrofit.

I bought the cheapest folding sunshade I could find ($3.94) to cut up for the sunroof. If it works well I’ll sew fabric around the edge to make it look legit.

Mishimoto intercooler. I really dig their gear and I'm interested to see how their tab provisioning holds up and addresses some of the issues that have plagued other designs. Rather than cast the tab slots into the ends, they abstracted them with brackets to allow the mounting of their own brackets that then bolt to the intercooler. This appears to better compensate for slight variants in fitment. Here are a few shots plus a still from their install video showing the brackets I mentioned. Overall quality is as expected from them, the finish is very nice, almost like a gloss nardo grey. Too bad it wont be visible hah.

I plan to install it this weekend and hope to get a review up shortly afterwards.

I suspect it was more about my experience with their parts over the 20 years I've been in the hobby. The hours of research into the nonsense people are having to deal with regards to fitment and tab breakage, about an hour or two scouring Mishi's R&D blog and forum posts on this particular unit and watching the install video a few times all while cross-referencing Jeff's intercooler data analysis bible for our platform. This all culminated into an email to Jake to see what his current lead time is looking like on his hand crafted V1 FMIC units. The choice, for me, was preferentially Baun with Mishi as a backup. Despite preferring to go with Jake's gear, Mishi fit the params I'm working under better and there you have it.

AMS Catted DP. Pulling the heat shield and dropping the pipe off for satin black ceramic tomorrow, I’m pretty stoked.

Edited - Add pic of heat shield off, hats off AMS for the attention to detail and cast provisioning for the shield.

A quick follow-up on the AMS DP I sent off for ceramic. Bonehead Performance coated the inside and out of the primary DP, the catted mid-pipe was coated outside so the cat wouldn't be damaged. Before assembling the heat shield back on I sanded and polished the raised letters. Super happy with the results, cant wait to install it this weekend.

That looks great, how much did the ceramic coating cost?

$120 for both the DP and mid-pipe. The DP would have been $80 but its a long drive so even though its a tad overkill, I had them coat it as well.

Finally got my OEM rear subframe harmonic balancer in the mail from E-ACCA. Lol I ordered it back on on MAR-26. Excited to see if it makes my car any quieter.

Where does this go? Is it a replacement for an existing piece? Not sure i've heard of a subframe harmonic balancer before.

Today was a good day! Huge shoutout to Darryl and Bobby at SmithVW for the help! Picked up my PP master cylinder, PP rear brakes, EBC YellowStuff pads, Neuspeed brake lines, APR Coilpacks, Denso IKH01-24 plugs, and the last of the various bolts/gaskets I needed for my Golf! Tonight or tomorrow it will finally move under its own power!

Also picked up my locking and felt lined glovebox for my GSW! VIN matched lock cylinder should be here any day!

Can you share how you went about getting that glovebox and a matching key. Also when you say VIN matched does it match the regular key used to start the car?
