Pretty short list compared to some...

* 2006 PJ Ford Ranger 3L turbo diesel
* 2010 FG Ford Falcon XR6 ute, 4L inline 6 Barra engine with Vortech centrifugal supercharger. I miss that car.
* And currently, '18 Skoda Octavia RS with IS38 plus bolt ons. (Not a Golf, but it's weird cousin)

Some pretty awesome cars posted in here.

I don't really drive the GTI much, but my wife does. These are the other cars we currently drive:

E36 I've had for quite a long time

4Runner I've had about equally long

R53

And wife's car

2006 Mitsubishi Evo IX
2004 Neon SRT-4 (literally for 4 months)

1998 Acura Type R
1993 Honda Civic w/Type R motor

I was set to get either a F10 M5 or 2nd gen CTS-V. I started to like the 3rd gen more and I dont want to wait another year or 2 before they come down to a price range I'm willing to spend. My buddy is a BMW tech and he said F10's are prone to random oil leaks, plus my current experience with used BMW's is coloring my motivation to deal with another another BMW out of warranty. I was considering a Civic Type R but my wife thinks its too boy racerish. I never really considered the Golf but I love DSG style transmissions and it appears the MK platform is pretty bullet proof. I have owned cars that were making a lot of power and the cost of doing business burnt me out. 400ish out of a reliable car with AWD and DSG style transmission and actually space enough for a 6 foot 4 adult.........no brainer.

Nice list.

Surprised you didn't hang on to the Type R. Or was it stolen. Had a buddy in college that bought one new. It was stolen within a month of getting it.

Sold it. Had too many miles and someone wanted it more than I did. I was constantly paranoid it would get stolen. Forgot to add my wife had a 04 Is300 and a 2008 WRX STi around the same time I had the Evo.....we called our house the House of Rumble.

Hello all.

First post here and happy to be in a VW once again. Previous car before the purchase of my GTI was a 2018 Focus ST (ST3). I wasn't really in-love with the FoST, but it was a fun car though.

I had a 2013 b8.5 audi a4, lowered on vogtland coiloves, avant garde m590 wheels, revo stage 2 tune, awe echaust, eurocode dp, intake, h&r sway bar...and some other stuff I cant remember. I loved that car. the GTI stage 2 is faster, but the audi would have taken it all day long from a dig with that AWD.
