Means you’re lucky, because worse detonation results in the rod bearings leaving the chat or worst case a rod bending or breaking.

You can pull the oil filter, hold it over a white sheet of paper and cut it open (unroll it) so any chunks fall onto the paper. If there’s bronze bearing material in there that’s when you worry/make plans to rebuild or replace.
The filter was clean. There's still no explanation for the cylinder 3 misfire/hide cylinder, but considering the mileage and it being cylinders one and two with detonation furthest down the line on the rail, fuel injectors and carbon cleaning while they are in there makes sense to me as a next step. I have four of these injectors on the way Bosch 06L906036AK. They are significantly cheaper than the GTI injectors, flow 15% more, and EQT can accommodate them in the tune. Will also probably go with a new, OEM HPFP.

Starting my track prep to get back out on track in October now that it's cooling down in SoCal.

Ordered some Brembo RE10 front enduro race pads, supposed to be comparable to Ferodo 3.12 with much better wear.
Hmmmm, I wonder if they come in a 1001 back plate.?

So long, Composition Media; Discover Media retrofit is (mostly) complete. NAR 2021 maps installed, no codes thrown. Officially a good day -- big thanks to @brownnugen for renting out his VAS and D-Link tools for the job! Recommended if anyone needs them for an upcoming job.

Are you getting those just for the price and then getting tune to accommodate. Or do you actually want more flow? Note that if you are on aftermarket DP, they can't disable the secondary O2 anymore, so you'll run a CEL if you unplug. Or spacer or whatever...

Not a Mod to the car but my Fiance made me this MK7 GTI Sweatshirt a few minutes ago and I had to share. I think it came out soooo good.

The text on the rear window is the companies I've been getting my mods from and its the same as on the real car.

Purely price, I'll still only run 93 octane and I suppose I'll benefit from whatever margin of added flow they offer. Thanks for the reminder on the secondary 02... I have a spacer that has always worked to keep that code away.

Interested to hear if that stops your oil use.
Nope. Before it was just oily at the sensor; now its an active drip. Looks to be coming from the sensor area. All the oil pan bolts are tight. Tightened the sensor nuts another 1/8th turn. Might just buy a new sensor, drain, clean the surface and replace.

Finally installed the rear brake upgrade: 272x10 to 310x22. It was not as easy as it should be, I blame 40 percent me, 100 percent volkswagen.
