Purchased a GTI wheel from the scrapyard weeks ago and finally got all my parts in to install on my 1.8! Swapping the front cover off the airbag was cost-effective but a massive pain to do. Now waiting for a R-line wheel badge...

Installed my new AFE dry air filter, breaking both the snow guard and the OEM filter in the process (seriously who does that?)

Later, I washed it and then experimented with Dr Colorchip on the many stone chips that are all over the hood. As you can see, the results are far from perfect, but better than I'd have done with OEM touch-up paint:

Removed my wheels and did a semi-annual cleaning. Also spruced up the brake calipers and Bilstein's. Rotated the tires. Changed the oil filter.

Decided to do an inspection under the car for anything abnormal. Found coolant leak under the water pump area and coolant reservoir about a cup low. FML.
