First time ever tying out auto detailing, in my life, and the first for my one month old golf tsi..

Start with a good two bucket method wash, followed by claying , rain x-ed, applied jetseal and top off with wax... took abt 4hours and now my car is ready for the celebrations tmrw. Eid Mubarak !

Ok. More details on this. Did you swap parts or cut out.
Also more details on wrap.

Cut out, on the wrap just got some heat wrap tape from auto zone. Pulled the outlet tube out and wrapped it.. Reinstall

I noticed this today when I was giving mine a good cleaning. WTF is up with the intake? Stock - where is it sucking air from before you cut that strip open?

Looks good, wanted to clarify a few things,

1. How did you manage to cut that left side of the intake so neatly?
I want to do the same thing but don't want to make a mess of it.

2. With it cut out, has the sound or performance changed in any way?

3. For it to work properly you need to make cut ous above the grill like the right side, this allows for better airflow. See sketch below
