Had a set of 18x8.5 Enkei Racing RS05RR wheels and Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires put on this morning.

My initial impression is that steering is more responsive, the car wanders less, but road noise is up noticeably.

I will take some better pictures this weekend. I also need to get some wheel bolt caps, the ones Tire Rack sent are nickel-plated.

I will, just haven't taken one yet. :) The car is also about to get dropped a bit using VWR springs. The springs have come in but I haven't had time in my schedule for the installation.

Euro spec shifter installed! :)

Feels great.

Should of came that way for the USDM version.

??? Is it actually a different shifter or just a short shift kit?? Pictures?

Those look damn good. I sure wouldn't want to clean them though!

The wheels are getting Opti-Coated, which will make cleaning much easier. I had the rest of my car done a few weeks ago but skipped the OEM wheels because I was waiting on the Enkeis.

I also think that the open design and smooth texture of the Enkeis will make it a pretty easy job to clean them.

Opti-Coated? Educate me. What was the cost to have this done to the entire car?

Opti-Coat is a durable clear ceramic coating that protects and makes it much easier to clean whatever it is applied to. The coating is hydrophobic and sheds water like a freshly waxed car.

I had paint correction done on my car before it was Opti-Coated (except the wheels, which I asked them to skip until the Enkeis were installed). I think the total was $695 but I'll to go back and check.
