What did you do to your mk7 today?

How much of a bargain is this all going to be, vs just getting them off of aliexpress for $199 for both mirrors and the switch?

$199 aliexpress mirrors no good in my case. Car is RHD. I will need also door modules as current fitted ones won't support power folding. So far is £30 well spent.
Just a question, is wagon and hatchback mirrors are same for MK7 Golf (only thing I didn't consider [emoji15])

Used these and this to fix the broken clip on my plug D. Put in this to replace the one I pushed through the firewall. Yeah I suck.

Did you replace the clip on the car harness or the JB? How hard was it?

I have those things sitting on my work bench.

Car harness. Took the plug D from the top challenge and failed, though it did come off heh.

Not bad from under the car. The tool needed more force than I thought to de-pin the wires, and it was a little difficult to get the last wire to snap back in to the new plug. Tiny flat tipped pliers to grip the wire and push it into the clip helped.

I did the same thing. I wasn't confident enough to do it myself so I took mine to a German auto shop (german auto pros) and they swapped it for $25

I was quoted $100-$150 via e-mail from BFI and didn't even bother to respond, just went ahead and ordered the clip and tool. Luckily the broken clip held on to the JB4 female socket fine in the mean time, but it definitely would not have held on to the OE MAP socket it came out of.

Towed this trailer I got for $50!!! The hitch, with a 2” euroball was only like $120!

Another $25 for the 1 7/8” setup here. It tows so well.

Ive used Emmanuele Design exlusvily for all the work on my 16'.

Youll need about a week for them to settle. Was it the springs in your pics of before and after? Hopefully you dont catch the mod bug too badly as I did...and I dont regret any of the work done except for the ED TCU tunes which as reset back to factory after about a month,

Yeah, they put their springs on it. Nice guys and it was great hanging out at their facility. I'm really trying to not mod this GTI as much as I did my last few cars, but I'm failing so far lol. I have 10/15 spacers coming in soon, but I'm on the fence about putting them on as I plan to take track lessons.
