What did you do to your mk7 today?

Got a nice surprise today .... my dealer/salesman sent me a gift for the GTI .... VW MojoMats. After all, I have sent him a couple of referrals. :)

18x8 Matte Black Alzor's with 235/40/18 Michelin PSS tires with custom hub/wheelcentric spacers, 3mm on front and 8mm on rear, along with a VWR Sport Spring drop. I say the stance and look turned out about as perfect as I could have expected, to hell with the ecs "flush kit", this is the way to do it!

Also installed a GFB DV+ the other day, bit of a pain but got it down right and working perfectly :D

at thez19 WOW really nice! really really nice!:D:D

Love you car Steve and what you have done to it, and really like the new sill guards (might get some myself), but I have to be honest and say I prefer the previous rear bumper guard you had. I'm not sure about the new one being thicker and wrapping around the bumper top edge and it seems perilously close to the parking sensors ?.

But hey, it's your car so what do I know.

Keep the ideas coming for all us mortals to shamelessly copy :D

Cheers for the pictures Waggers

seems it maybe subjective about the contrast on a white car, but I think your's looks cool

With my car being a midnight blue , for me with the dog, it's a no brainer! I'll be ordering one in carbon.

Again cheers.. time to go wash the wagon now..

Proved exactly what causes the Rear Suspension Rattle

This is all you need to know about your dreaded rattle from your boot / rear suspension.

This is the rubbish component fitted to the MK7 Golf that is giving me and many others so much of a problem with the so-called "Rolling Lumbar Syndrome"

Watch The Video

6000 miles, 4 sets of shocks and this is all VW can do. This set failed after 24-hours after being changed along with top mounts just 2 weeks ago in May 2015. Just watch the YouTube Video and look at the movement on the nearside shock. And all we get told is that it a shock absorber replacement will fix the noise. Really, well I don't think so, I don't believe it and neither do many others!

Yes, a shock absorber replacement may fix the issue but as far as I am concerned it wont be a VW shock Absorber that will do it.

If you have this problem then show this video to your dealer because the chances of a fix are virtually nil if they change the shock absorbers to another so-called VW modified shock. I know, as I am on my 4th set and they all failed.

Fuelboss - why don't you replace the shocks with aftermarket ones and then invoice vw for the cost along with a soundtrack of your quiet car. Did you get the part number of those shocks?

+1 although VW will not like that and will void any suspension related warranty but if you do, get a set of Koni's FSD you will love them

Wheelbands? And why did you go sourcing your own coilover setup versus buying one already designed?
