it randomly worked on the way home from work tonight but no indication of mode in the instrument cluster. Really weird....hope this isn't indicative of my ownership experience still to come.

I had this experience yesterday! It seemed like the modes worked (the DSG changed to sport) but the mode would not display!



Restarted the car, and all was well!

Installed an AUTO euroswitch conversion from Aliexpress, good quality for just 40.00 bucks shipped took about 10 days.

Plastidipped the emblems anthracite gray. Not a fan of the black on black and thought this might be a good way to tone down the chrome without going black

yup! first time plastidipping and I have definitely figured it out finally. so I'm probably gonna redo some of it eventually to get it more perfect.

the only emblem I didn't do on the car was the front VW because that one was easy to remove.

Also plastidipped the side badges clear to take away the chrome and make it more of a brushed metal look.

I love this! I have been trying to figure out what I want to do with my emblems since I am not a fan of chrome. I might copy you!
