Alot of hate for the austin's. I dig em. Someone a few posts up nailed it. They're fine wheels.Our cars could have came with BBS stock like back in the day and folks would still say they're not great and swap em. I dig that they're subtle yet aggressive-ish, in line with the rest of the mk7 GTI design (see fog strakes, the uU LED, the red striping, etc). It's meant to stand out against the lineup and i say they achieve that. One could even suggest they're a throwback to the early mk1 golf P wheels. Obviously with the P stylized and stretched to be spokes themselves as opposed to cutouts. At the very least i say they're much better than what the 17 sports came with. Those look so boring to me. In the end, it's all different strokes.

I like the Austins. I plan to keep them on for a while before I upgrade the wheels.

Got my deAutoKey license plate and reverse LED's in the mail yesterday, install took all of 5 mins for everything in a poorly lit garage...and probably would have taken less time if I didn't do one side first to compare...it's crazy how bright these are in comparison to stock...loving the reverse LED's, gotta get used to the license plate light brightness...I left my car on when I went into the grocery store last night after install (fiance and sister were inside the car) and could see it from across the parking lot when I came back out

overall really easy to install and really helps with the backup camera since my neighborhood/garage area is not very well lit

You can dial down the brightness with VCDS.
