Nice background and looks very peaceful. Time to change all that and put the extra 10bhp to good use, not that I necessarily condone shattering the peace & quiet purely for Golf-related fun reasons :D....

Joined the splash guard club. Excuse the dirty car.

They look great, did you drill the hole at rear bottom, I didn't drill it on mine and they are still solid without it, welcome to the club lol

Had my first annual service - no extra work needed, no software updates, and no money handed over by me :D

(I have a service plan, so technically had already paid for the service)

Yup. I drilled the hole. PITA taking off all the tires. I don't have a small drill so off they went. They were pretty solid without the bottom drilled out but i figured since i was down there..might as well.

Yep I agree,

I did line everything up correctly and push them towards the car when screwing them on, the fronts seem to have a small gap up top. I'll have to snap a pic of it. Also, the black doesnt match the other trim, yet. Guess i have to wait for them to weather out. Other than that, I'm glad I got them and did them myself instead paying the stealership double the cost of the splash guards and $100 install fee.

Yeah is a pain but worth saving 100 bucks that you can use for fuel.
That gap that you are referring to, I have it too as far as can tell there nothing that you can do about it but it's not too bad.

A...how did you do it?

B...are there any holes left anywhere after you removed it?

I like the way that looks. Much nicer without them.

A...Started carefully pulling the narrow part at the bottom. Got that loose from the sticky tape behind it. Got a hair dryer and on a low heat setting (to keep from blistering the paint) heated the glue that holds the wider part at the top to the spoiler. The glue releases as it is heated. Start carefully pulling from the outside of the car toward the inside. You just have to be careful to not let the piece you are taking off scratch the spoiler. Once you remove the pieces, you need to have some label and sticker remover to get the rest of the glue off of the spoiler.
B...no holes left after removal. It really looks like VW added the side pieces as an afterthought. Why else would the rest of the car be built so well and these pieces be stuck to the car with tape?
