Then went all over the county and further to find a nut (because it was an oddball thread pitch) to replace the missing one the Canadians @ HPA failed to put in their pricey kit.
Persistence paid off.....

Drove up to the GA mountains for the nice weather yesterday to drive and hike. Decided I needed to go ahead and put this 034 insert in already and called countless auto shops on the way up asking if they had a lift and some time to quickly do this for a reasonable $ and nothing worked out, price wise and because I was simply driving through. Would've loved it for the roads I was about to drive on

As I was driving back home I passed by some random family run auto shop in rural northern Georgia, I popped a U and asked if they had a lift, a credit card machine, then described what I needed done. Shop owner was very cool and even let me put in the insert myself with him being there. Paid him $20 for his generosity. Was really cool!

Installed the BFI stage 1 transmission mount and ran my foglight wiring for my retrofit on a 17 Sport.

Bought harness and grille from bks, fogs from a member of the FB group repair wire from VW and switch from AliExpress.

I still have to get the mounting hardware from VW. But, the hardest part is finding a pair of fogs.
