What did you do to your mk7 today?

I installed BFI stage 1 motor and tranny mounts today. Also the CTS turbo inlet pipe and ECS turbo muffler delete.

Keep us apprised to your assessment of any NVH from the mounts.
Those are on my wish list.

picked her up from the shop today, confirmed leak via headliner fixed. also there was a TSB to check for stress cracks on the sunroof water channel - two were found that also got repaired....didn't know there was a TSB for such issue..oh well..glad to be back driving again right in time for a good old snow shower on the way home

Man, that's a lot of work in the cold weather! I washed mine and threw a coat of Collonite 476 on it. My plan is to clay, polish, and seal this spring.

accidentally got curb rash on right back wheel... so pissed!

I got nokian WRG3s mounted and balanced yesterday.

The shocking thing about them is even though they haven't broken in yet they feel like they have more traction than the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 that came with my gti! Can't wait to see how they are come a bit of snow. Also interested to see how they do in the rain.

Well I have all the mounts done. The motor and trans mounts are BFI and the dogbone is a CTS billet insert. There is definitely some added NVH but only while idling and is tolerable (passed the wifey test), might settle down over the next week or two. I'm glad I went stage one and not two because the great news is wheel hop has been reduced if not basically eliminated, which was the goal. I was wheel hopping sometimes, and I have not been able to get it to wheel hop even when trying now. Problem solved, and this is with stock crappy tires on high-torque stage 2 power levels, VWR springs, stock shocks.

Verdict= Great upgrade!
