I think the fuel line disconnect was for the OG Mk7s that have two studs on the top corners of the intake. With those installed, there's no way to finagle it around.
Getting the full set of 1/4 drive Torx makes it much easier for sure.
I'm still not sold on walnut blasting as far as cost benefit vs the scrape and suck method. I mean yeah, they come out cleaner but it's an infrequent service and mine get 90-95% of the way there.
Now that I have have (hopefully) 3 DI VAG cars it might be easier to sell me on it.
