The bolt that held the clamp for my tailpipe disappeared

So I uninstalled it for a bit.

Yesterday, I slithered underneath and reinstalled with another shitty Amazon clamp. Pro-tip, if you're a shade tree mechanic and you're like me and drive everywhere with a bag of tools, carry an opened up box or a disused yoga mat so you don't have to scoot around on asphalt.

Be sure to use anti-seize compound and only torque with a 1/4 drive ratchet (no need for Ugga dugga).

Should be good for the next 100k

Getting closer. Still need to disconnect axle and prop shafts, and figure out what has to come loose underneath.

The ADHD got me today. Deep cleaned the interior after I took it through the car wash. Of course, by the time I was done with the interior the paint was nicely dusted with pollen.

In other news, wowwww was the water the extractor pulled from the center armrest nasty! (the armrest was basically grey and was the impetus for starting this little project.)

Nice and clean! Needs a little bit of work still on the outside driver's seat bolster and in need of a bit of repair. Needs some UV protectant on the dash and such too, but this is the cleanest she's been in a while!
Looking good -- what's up with the shift light in the middle? That looks pretty snazzy, how was configuration/install?

I take my car to a local detailer once a year for some paint maintenance. It's the only time each year when the car has no roof rack or nutty radio antennas. I also use the time to inspect my rack for damage since I carry some kooky loads. Here's the car after pick up today...

The car is a 2017 Sport with 266,000 miles. I need the radios tomorrow; so, the rack and antenna setup is already back in place, as are the radios that I had removed from inside.

Have you thought of building a trailer for all your radio stuff?

God this makes me miss my reflex silver car. Seems so boring at first, but looks so good.
