Neat I didnt know this was an option. I may have to look into this more. I'm still rocking the OEM mounts at 106k, and I just threw in an IS38 last summer. So I put in the fluid-filled engine mount from the biturbo CUAA TDI engine (3Q0199262 / 5WA199262R / Corteco 49377255).
I already ran the RS3 fluid filled gearbox mount (8V0199555A) and it was a nice upgrade. Having them in tandem now is even better. Perhaps the CUAA one (3Q0199555J) will also fit your DQ381/DQ500?
And the TDI mount has the three mounting points for the fuel filter, the TSI mount only had two holes.
Edit: the DQ381/DQ250 one should be 3Q0199555H
That's a pretty decent spread, but closer than I would've expected. I take it your coworkers are also at least somewhat interested in driving sports?

dude I fucking hate wipers, they're always some kind of weird and unintuitive design and compounding the frustration is that they're widely perceived as one of those 'easy/tool-less' things that you do in the parking lot before you drop the car off for inspection. Every time it's a struggle.Bosch Icon wipers, rain-x wiper fluid. Embarrassingly, I had to look at a YouTube video for how to install the wiper adaptor pieces, it felt like I was going to break them I was pulling so hard.
Dumped almost the whole gallon of fluid into the reservoir before stopping to check it wasn't just going onto the ground. There's got to be a leak somewhere, because there's no way I used that much this season, and it kinda sprays a mist rather than a stream onto the windshield.

My driver side sprays 3/4 up the windshield, the passenger side is like a slow pi$$ 1/4 up. I took out the passenger size nozzle/hose and cleaned it thinking that it may be clogged but nope. I think it just doesn't get enough pressure to spray effectively.I think the misting is semi-normal? It's not like a super soaker type of spray pattern. BUT it's still possible you have a leak.
No progress on tuning, been very preoccupied the past two months. But I'm definitely going to have free time the next few weeks so stay tuned (pun intended)dude I fucking hate wipers, they're always some kind of weird and unintuitive design and compounding the frustration is that they're widely perceived as one of those 'easy/tool-less' things that you do in the parking lot before you drop the car off for inspection. also how's the DIY tuning going, any further progress there? I hear it's turbo season for you soon![]()

So, the real question, how's does the ride compare to the stock DCC?The question of ancient times, dating back as far as the Babylonians, is: “Can we retrofit MQB Magnetic Ride to the VW platform?” For the first few centuries, the answer was always: “प्रामाणिकतया, किमर्थं त्वं तया अपि कष्टं करिष्यसि? प्रथमं विद्युत्, एआइ, दहनइञ्जिनं च आविष्करोमः?”
But ever since I was born in 1989, the boundaries of technology have been pushed further and further. Today, I’m happy to announce that this age-old mystery has finally been resolved.
Yes, we can.
We take the module and dampers from the A3 8V or TT 8S platform, mix and match springs, do some sketchy wiring, and behold: fully functional MagRide.
