19 snowflakes.

Those are awesome.. Quick google search.. RML? I've seen guys going apeshit for the dune beetle heritage wheels, but these look so much better. It's like a modern throwback to the 14" days.

My new Toyo tires came in today. Had them mounted on the new 19 snowflakes.

Got a shock while putting the snowflakes away in the garage a buddy of mine asked if I had a flat tire on the GTI? I said no when I took a look the tire was split. I’ve only put 700 miles on the car since I bought it. I sent a text to the dealership sales person. I’m sure nothing is going to come from it. Once you take the load off the tire, the split completely disappears, so I’m sure it was missed during the inspection.

Love the snowflakes! I want a set for my MK4 so bad- my dad used to have little og ones on his Rabbit when I was little

Yes, Brad from RML did one heck of a job designing these and bringing the old school look back.

I love the stock 14" snowflakes and still have mine but installed a set of 16" RML's on my 84 GTI.

And here i am running fancy summers all year around...

Almost feel like I'm missing out not needing 2 or 3 different sets to get through the year...

pride parade ass tires 😂

Do they still do the D W S on the tread, as a wear indicator of 'okay these are no longer good for the snow, you can't see the 's' anymore', etc? I just checked my wife's set to make sure she's good for the snow, it's a convenient feature. Good tire overall btw.

ps I see you have the aerofabb skirts too, watch out that the screws don't fall out :x

did a compression test. this is a 2016 Golf Sportwagen 1.8TSI with 130k miles, tested at 1200ft above sea level:

1-2-3-4 ---> 144-141-145-143

so with altitude adjustment pretty close to 150.

first time doing this but thinking its pretty good for the miles.

this year prior to the test:
both front wheel bearings replaced diy
carbon cleaning diy
water pump diy
ac compressor and dryer filter replaced by Eurofed.

Overall car seems fine in spite of a life of tune and autocross abuse :) Oil consumption is around qt/3k miles, cruising oil temp now around 223-225f, up from around 217 when new.

Jake you’re funny lol

No more “DWS” in the tread. And yeah, I’ve converted all aerofabb’s screws to a rivet

Man I liked the DWS for that, but I guess it's easy enough just to look at them to determine the same thing. I need to get some inexpensive all seasons for the Mazda and it feels dirty
