Just had one jingle out the other day when I parked at work. Annoying. Might figure out a custom sideskirt soon, similar to PCI but not as "thick"
Need to find a replacement screw or something to replace the ones that have stripped out

My 2017 GTI has 86K miles on it and an is38 w/93oct tune. I’m considering turning up the power by adding a LPFP and full E.

I would only do so if I felt confident in the health of the motor, so what would you do to best confirm that? Leak down, compression, and oil analysis? Anything else?

Inspect valves for carbon build up and maybe timing (should still be at 3). Other than what you said, not much else you can do

Car detailed, wheels on. Definitely going to get some spacers for at least the front. Time to math that out.

It's been a while since I posted a photo of my nutty communications setup. I've mounted my microtower and antennas for this weekend's VHF communications event:

I'll probably catch some snow on Sunday. Hopefully, the roads will still be warm enough to avoid ice! I'll share photos if I take any good ones.

What's the latest on the supposed oil in the coolant?

No way one could diagnose that via Vegas 🤣. I guess the first easy question is does that knob still stay lite while it’s not working? Cause you can at least rule out if it’s got power.

Since it’s a self contained unit (I have that cerwin Vega unit) you are really limited on the risk of frying the speakers coil itself, but also - did the shop not set your gain before hand? While that control makes it seem that way - gain is not a volume knob, and shouldn’t be messed after voltage is matched.
Yes the remote still has power.

The shop did have the remote tuned when I got in the car. I thought I was able to play with it.

It's probably my fault as I was using the gain like a volume nob in a way. I didn't pass 2 o'clock hence zero is at 7 o'clock.

I'm a noob when it comes to audio. It does make sense now that the gain is not a volume (it just had more of a ummmfff).

I'm still trying to understand what the Low Pass Filter does and the Phase button.

I called the audio shop and their having me coming in to take a look into it and if it needs a new sub it will be replace by warranty.

The phase button, is simple and time alignment button to account for different cars and distances from the stage speakers to the woofer.

Low pass filter just controls at what frequency the sub is playing up to, with that setup anything about 80-90 is going to sound pretty sloppy.

I've had those Aerofabb side skirts for years without any issues. Original hardware still in and holding strong so far. You guys need to practice kicking your leg out more when exiting or something. Lol...

Yeah it’s a good thing it’s not an old cobra with side exit pipes
