Bought a new in box Ford/Yakima rooftop tent last week to use on either the Mk5 or Mk7. I either need to fab a shorter adapter bracket that goes right into the T slot of the OEM roof rack or trade it for a hard shell tent. I'm 5'10" and the extra height added by the Yakima clamp makes it awkward to reach the clips and Velcro in the middle of the car. I think my GSW4Mo will be easier to reach with it installed since it's so much lower. Maybe it's time for air ride.

Me and AJ can help you out lol
Not in that weather!

Just do airhelper springs inside the rear coils with a Schrader nipple in the hatch ! Old air shocks style (my 70 Camaro still had that setup on it when I first bought it in like 2006🤣)

Installed C2 650 on the front and a JBL 11” subwoofer in the trunk hidden with the air management.

The good news is that it sounds amazing.

The bad news it seems like I F’d up the subwoofer it stopped working on the same day of install. I been listening to multiple rocks bands and playing with the knob. I tried not to max out the bass to prevent any issues. However, it still suddently stopped working. Tried pulling the fuse but its stuck in there dont wanna break anything. I had a local audio shop do the install calling them up first thing in the morning!

Looks like JBL cant handle shit

No way one could diagnose that via Vegas 🤣. I guess the first easy question is does that knob still stay lite while it’s not working? Cause you can at least rule out if it’s got power.

Since it’s a self contained unit (I have that cerwin Vega unit) you are really limited on the risk of frying the speakers coil itself, but also - did the shop not set your gain before hand? While that control makes it seem that way - gain is not a volume knob, and shouldn’t be messed after voltage is matched.

Be very careful stepping out - the screws they provide like to strip the plastic. I've riv-nutted several so far.
This. My heel has caught them more times than I can count
