Replaced the accessory belt. Mine developed a racing stripe from when the lower radiator hose/sensor came loose and was rubbing against it. Took about 15 minutes.

Delayed posting, but tried out drag racing in the GTI for the first time and had fun (as opposed to the usual HPDE or autocross).

Haven’t picked it up yet, but the new truck debate is finally settled.
Picked up a lightly used 2024 2500HD 6.6 Duramax Z71 with 8,700 miles on the clock.
Cloth seats & poverty spec just the way I like it. Only thing I would’ve preferred it had is cab clearance lights.
Also a huge fan of cab clearance lights. When I got my F250 I almost didnt buy it because it did not have them. I wanted to order the truck so that I would get them. This really annoyed the dealer as they wanted to sell something now, so they discounted the truck. I still left the dealership without buying right then because I had already been there several hours and was hungry. While out getting lunch at a nearby restaurant, they sales manager kept calling me. First he said someone else was looking at it, so I said go ahead and sell it. He didn't like that answer so he asked what it would take to make this deal happen. I said either put the lights on it, or go find me one that has them. I ended up getting a voucher for the factory parts to add them and the dealer install them, but then I had a headache with the service department getting the time scheduled to get them installed? Kind of a run around but just thought I would share, you really got to watch those guys and get all your owed in writing and scheduled if your new vehicle requires a dealer install. They will scam you wherever they can. Food for thought, If I had got a truck with the lights like I wanted, I probably would still have it. Every time I would look at the truck I was reminded that the lights were not there and the hassle I went through to get them, then the service department conveniently being backlogged with no available time for me. It was just constantly giving me bad vibes, because for $55k, the truck should be what I wanted.

Yeah I really put a ton of thought into it as well.
Those pictures are from Monday (time limited), I went back Tuesday & just now put a deposit on it over the phone from work.
All in I’d be spending 5-10k more for a brand new one with cab lights vs used (this one has 8,700 miles on it) so I feel good about the deal.
The color is something different and that matters as much/more than the lights.
It’s called Dark Ash Metallic, which is dark gray, but turns purple/dark blue with tons of flake. Pictures don’t do it justice, and once I do a few little cosmetic mods I think it’ll really pop.

OMG I can't wait to see what I was right about lol. Sold cars for 10 years across several different brands. I know everything they will say/try before they do it.
I actually washed it by hand for the first time ever… did the jambs and the engine bay even. Then removed some 2-3 year old sap from my previous residence and did an iron removal. Tomorrow will be clay, polish and wax. View attachment IMG_1717.jpeg

Installed new (to me) MSD Blaster Series Red Ignition Coils. I know.... there is no real benefit over OEM plugs, but I like them and the price point was right. The "smiles per miles" was perfect for me.

Had to have cab lights. That and new was splitting hairs with used thanks to interest rate incentives.

I did them all already, but next time I’ll try that!
We all have our likes and vehicle traits that just appeal to us. If you like it then thats what matters.
