Thanks, they are one of the few 17" wheels that have good brake clearance. Originally bought them to clear the 17z calipers on my old A3 without running spacers. They also easily clear the Macans on the GTI.
It was never really a MPG race between the old and new truck, but rather between a new gas and new diesel.
Me driving the ‘96 with my newborn is the equivalent of my dad driving a ‘62 when I was a baby. Sure, it’s cool to drive a classic, but definitely not practical or anything.
For now, I am going to just use the EQT Stage 2 91 HPFP file that came with the Accessport. I have the APR open intake already on. Today they're adding a Cobb 400 cell downpipe, Autotech HPFP, and some Denso 5749 plugs. I also have a Stage 2 E85 HPFP file already so once I drive it for a few weeks on 91 I'll switch it over to E85.
Then once EQT dials in their flex tunes I will need an ethanol content splitter harness so I can run it over to the ECU and still see it on the P3 gauge. And I have an EQT Brushless LPFP to add into the mix when I buy the new flex file.
I will probably add an intercooler next year before summer hits, but it's tough to find a used one in good shape. And I'll likely also add a Powerflex hybrid bushing/insert too.
