Got the rear seats back from the upholstery shop, and sent the passenger seat in. Then it'll be driver seat, door panels, and possibly center armrest time. It's turning out just as I imagined, I'm very happy. OEM GTE fabric bought from Relicate.

Picked up my curb rash repaired wheel, looks great. Also dropped a brand new lower spoiler insert for the new front bumper that is at the body shop getting painted. It was to get painted this afternoon and tomorrow morning they are re-assembling fog lights and plastic bits and that new lower insert I dropped off. Supposed to pick that up tomorrow after work. Going to try and do the LaminX on the headlights after work today if its not too hot outside. I need an climate controlled garage so damn bad. I could be working on stuff faster.

Sorry if I missed it in an earlier post, but I am about ready to start working on some kind of audio setup in the rear. Curious to know how you are tapping amp signal to those subs. Did you go via the brain in the glove box or OEM sub in the rear? I have Fender and I would like to get a good clean audio signal to send to an amp.
My car had the base stereo so there was not a rear sub signal to tap, but early on I added a spare tire 12” powered subwoofer and I just tapped the left and right side rear door speakers at the B pillars for that to get the sub signal. Quickly after that version the bass over powered the doors so I ended up getting a LC7i and added 2 more amps for the doors and tweeters at that time I needed utilize all 4 channels signals to make sure I was getting a full range signal. So at that time I made and harness that took the source signal at the back of the head unit and sent that to the LC7i then from the 7i went to a Dayton dsp they dsp to each amp then each amp had a harness that sent the signal back to the front of the car where that clipped to the original harness lol so I could just use the cable in the doors already. (except for the tweeters I had to run those as new since they were separate channels of the dsp now.

But as you see it’s an all new trunk system now lol. I’m skipping the lc7i this time and starting the signal with a minidsp 12channel dsp.

I will say with the fender system you have to do the signal tapping different since it’s uses optical for the factory amp.

I've been looking to add a sub to my fender system as well. I've been considering an LC2i Pro to tap the rear subwoofer wiring. https://www.audiocontrol.com/car-audio/factory-system-upgrade/lc2i-pro/ I've heard Audio Control has a series of amps with signal processing so I may consider that to simplify as well.
Yeah, I have my lc7i in my Tiguan now that I used for adding the 10powered sub, but in my ev6 I used and audio control 300.1 cause you kill 2 birds with one stone with the amp and LOC (many amps have built in convertors too, but my experience they don’t get nearly and clean or powerfull of signal as audio controls loc tech)

This is exactly what I'm looking to do! I was looking to even mount a similar JL Audio sub but in place of my Fender spare tire sub. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a link to a build log or anything?

Hit a curb. In my 35 years of driving, i have never curbed a wheel. Can't stand this. I'm going to have to replace it.

instant full size spare right there
Yep. Unfortunately won't fit in spare tire well.

And i have a whole other set of wheels and tires i can use as spares & an OEM 15" Lyon with tire. But at least this one will match

Just finished putting the blue tint LaminX on. No pic yet because it got dark outside on me. Wifey says it looks cool. I will snap a pic in the morning. Also picked up the new front bumper from the paint shop, looks minty so I decided to leave it in the bubble wrap for a while. Paint on the rear wing also looks like it cured and is ready for mounting.
