Regular, it does have a harness and prob kit in the box so maybe that’s what you need to make its automatic (single zone) but I didn’t test it.
Ah, I know there's some coding involved too but that's neat it still works as regular.

I need to retrofit single zone in mine in a bad way, I feel like I'm adjusting it 24/7 haha

Indeed it does have the harness and couple sensor needed for the half-Climatronic retrofit... described in this thread.
- It will leave you with several faults (which I suppose you'll never see since the AliExpress module doesn't show up in diagnostics, haha).
- If using a factory Climatronic panel (but with this same half retrofit harness) you also have lots of problems with airflow direction.
---Manual HVAC can send air to two out of three (feet, face, defrost vents) places at once , while Climatronic can direct to all three individually

Late in the thread I did a more thorough (single zone) climatronic retrofit; adding the sunlight sensor, external air quality/humidity sensor, a motor for the defrost door, motor for passenger side temp (electrically connected and mounted, though the manual HVAC box does not have the internal door to change temp on that side separately), and replacing the air intake box (above/forward of the glove box). A couple motors had to be changed, and wiring added.

Blah blah blah... you can skip all that and just do what was talked about early in the thread to get automatic temp and fan speed control. You will not, however, have good control of air direction. And you the recirc/fresh air flap won't work 100% but it will be close enough.

Pretty sure something is stuck with the current recirculation door already on mine. If I click (on the regular one before I put this screen on last night) the recirc to cycle Internal only air the chilled air won’t get to my vents and it’s only sill hot air. Once I turn it off to get outside air it’s back to very comfortable AC

I don't know what you've got going on, haha. Recirc should just open/close the door that's "above" the blower fan in the glove box. If you pull the filter you can see it back there.

You could pull the filter and have a look back there while pressing the button. Go to about 1:25 in the video to see what you should be seeing.

Replaced a failing diverter valve. Upgraded to the newest revision. So a little back story: I kept getting an epc light while causally cruising, it was for turbo boost. I replaced the is20 wastegate with the is38, it still occurred, did some live data tracking, wastegate was preforming perfectly. Tracked the fail point to the turbo diverter, it would fail at the moment the boost dropped while in 6th gear, so if I was cruising at 75 and drove up a hill, the cruise control would increase boost to maintain 75. At the top of the hill when ot leveled off the excess boost would divert but it would fail, throw the epc light and fail cruise control. So I went from "c" to "j", noticeable diffence in the valves tension. "C" was super soft and springy, "j " has less spring.

Results are...inconclusive. on a normal 75-minute drive to work, I was throwing about 8-10 epc lights, now only two.

Well I left my GSW4Mo at the Pasha drop off in Hilo Monday afternoon, and flew back to the mainland yesterday. My GSW4Mo is scheduled to arrive in Ohio early to mid September. Today I saw my Launch Edition for the first time in nearly 18 months! Time for some Fastivus prep. (possibly even a track day next week to shake the rust off) Tomorrow I fly to Florida to pick up my Fahrenheit. Words cannot express how stoked I am to pick it up!

You never responded a few pages back....

Was the move always supposed to be temporary? And how long were you gone there?

Sorry I must have missed it! Time has been flying by. It was supposed to be a permanent move however I was screwed out of close to 15k in my salary due to a clerical mistake. The FAA and NATCA told me tough luck. While I was in Hilo for 17 months and loved every minute of it I couldn't save for a house/retirement/etc. Most households are multigenerational with multiple incomes. So I started looking at other air traffic facilities and Cleveland Center had the highest salary with lowest cost of living while being near friends and road courses. Our retirement is also based on your top three years of income so I plan to stay at Cleveland Center for at least 5 years while saving every penny I can. After that move back to Hawaii and buy a house on the Hāmākua Coast with cash then cruise to retirement. Sometimes you have to postpone dreams to prepare for the future. At least now understand what it takes to be financially stable over there and essentially got a 17 month Hawaiian vacation for 30-50k. If you want to buy a house on big island and live "comfortably" you need a household income of 115-120+.

If anyone is curious about moving to Big Island or living there just shoot me a PM. I would not trade my time there for anything. The people and friends were some of the most generous and kind hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. I already miss the weather and night skies!

Federal employee, or contracted? You're talking high three, so I'm guessing fed. You at least get PCS or TOS in the FAA?

Federal employee. No PCS since it was a "voluntary" transfer. The only times you get PCS are priority bids like Chicago and New York TRACON or supervisor/management bids. Definitely less than ideal. You do however get 64 hours of COS (Change Of Station) leave which is nice. Management is also pretty flexible with transfer/start dates.

Got into Florida Friday night and took my Fahrenheit for a drive. It's been 17 years since I saw my first Fahrenheit and this one has exceeded my expectations. Well worth the wait! Can't wait to see how the build ideas pan out.

MK7 getting ready for air lift suspension. Got the wiring taken care of as well as the air tank, management and two compressors. Didn't do any drilling in the trunk. Air tank, management and compressor are sitting firm on the carpet with some velcro. Suspension and air lines go on Tuesday. Floor board doesn't sit flush. The end of the board that has the flap that folds sit over the air tank. Will eventually make a custom board to make the trunk board sit flush.

BTW, bought my air lift kit from someone and the front bags were rubbed. Ordered some new front bags from air lift and these are how they sit side by side. LEFT bag that comes with the MK7 air lift kit & RIGHT new replace bag (new replacement bag is much smaller for some reason) weird..

Put a Golf R front bumper cover on my GSW this weekend – the USDM R Wagon is slowly but surely coming to fruition. Also installed Koni Special Active dampers. Never been so excited to hit bumps on my way to work lol. Am I supposed to get an alignment after doing struts/shocks?
