You could try a bicycle tube repair kit. Or if it's too big for that, a truck/tractor tube patch kit. Rough the area, use the sealant, and the patch. Could cover with flex tape after for insurance.

I wrapped 3-4 continuous layers of flex tape around the coupling. I think I'll give it a try. Even if some oil gets under 1 layer of the tape, there are several more layers it would have to get to. if it fails it fails.
Bought some flex seal tape and made a bandaid fix. I need to take the bumper off to get the couplers back on so that will have to wait until after work tomorrow.
Hopefully it holds for a while, but I’ve decided to get a Baun FMIC to replace it anyway.
Did a full rear diff service on the alltrack. Haldex fluid looked basically new and the pump screen was nearly completely devoid of anything not haldex fluid.
The diff side stunk as gear oil does, but was the shade of weak brewed tea. Better than I was expecting for 213k miles but also likely 99% highway use to not surprising really.
That job sucks without a lift, at least on the alltrack there’s not much space for tools at all. Thankfully I had some stubby hex bits (meant to pop into a 12mm wrench) that were able to fit in there. My regular hex bits were too big and caused weird angles. Those POS plugs are soft as butter and stripped way too easily. Good thing I ordered too many and had two spares because I needed both.

Yeah, that worked for about 2 miles, so think the silicone de laminated so the pressure just made a new hole. Oh well, I’ll just take it easy for a while.
I just wish this had happened in the winter, not during a heat wave.

I think it would have if it had been one solid piece to begin with; the fact that it is made of layers makes it nearly impossible to patch. It was worth a shot, and now I know I can remove and install the bumper fairly quickly so I learned something.
I ordered some replacement couplings to use in the meantime, and I'll just sell them with the IC when the Baun mic comes in.
Did a couple morning sessions at Pacific Raceways over the weekend and managed a new PB of 1:40.93. Feels good to improve and there’s definitely more time to be had.
I recently had to get my DSG replaced due to bearing damage that you could hear as a growling/whirring sound in 5th and 6th gear. Took the opportunity to get a Wavetrac LSD installed which has been awesome.
