Hope it helps! I've never found a video that clearly showed that jack point
Yeah it does! So are you able to lift both wheels from that jacking point, slide the jackstands on the pinch welds, and then do they same thing on the other side to get all 4 wheels off the ground?
Probably not as I am thinking in my head, but just a question I wanted to throw out you and the forum.

I removed the side VW decals I had running across the side since VW completed their corrosion warranty repair and the decal had to be partially removed to complete the work. Now I just need to hit the leftover traces with some polish or compound to get it off.

Atlas VR6 has the resonator removed, queue wookie noises, and now my 128i just got the muffler replaced with an N55 muffler from a 135i for louder/better sounds!! All 3 cars with exhaust mods, best noises on the block!

I had to remove the rear windows louvres (which everybody loved) and installed Ikon (cheap) windows visors from Amazon. Replaced provided tape with my own 3M and used 3M adhesion promoter on all surfaces.

I do prefer the in channel units (loved my AVS ones on my last car) did not feel like shelling out the money for the Weather Tech (where the reviews appear to be very mixed on the MK7).

Now I can once again enjoy having my windows cracked open to let heat out, or when it is raining, etc.

Fingers crossed...

I just want to know if HPA's twin turbo VR6 setup works with the 3.6 or just the 2.8

Progress so far in the deep cleaning the GTI. I never realized how much junk built up in the wheel wells.

Now time for some lunch and to wait for the garage AC to cool everything off.

Next up clay bar and paint correction!

Nice!

Using that lift point shown in the picture, you can easily slide a jack stand under both front and rear reinforced areas of the pinch weld on the passenger side. Then, this should be repeatable on the driver side with extra care to ensure the passenger side stands are stable as you lift up the driver side.

I finally had the PS4S mounted, and holy cow, what a difference compared to the PS4AS all-season tires. The grip is significantly better, and the turn-in is much more precise. I'm now a firm believer in using summer/"winter for NC" tires.

Unfortunately, the shop that installed them damaged a few of my wheels. It wasn't anything serious, but the nylon roller scratched through the clear coat as it went around the rim. So frustrating... I drove 45 minutes to a race shop that tracks specs for 911s and other sports cars, thinking I'd be better off paying a bit more than going to Discount Tire, and this still happened.

The "winter wheels," Neuspeed RSE11R's, will arrive in a week or so. While there's no rush to get anything mounted, I do need to decide what to do with the PS4AS's I have. They're all down to 5/32nds tread. Should I mount them on the new wheels or sell them on Craigslist and get a new set?

It drives me nuts when people spend so much money modding their GTI, then throw AS tires on it. Good 300tw tires are such a big difference. These cars actually put power down really well with the right tires.

Those tires are a bargain when think about it. What other single mod makes your car accelerate, stop, and corner better?

POTD: Running wiring for the Dynaudio system in the MK7...success! But man what a pain! Removed battery, seats, center console, driver kick panel, glove box, driver and passenger side panels. Btw the translation for the ground caught me off guard.

Did you took off front fenders to clean the area between lower rear part of fender and front door? There is typical VW rust spot, it's worth to clean it from time to time
